2月の「コーヒーを飲みながら聖書を読もう」では、アニメ映画「プリンス・オブ・エジプト」の主人公としても有名なモーセの人生に注目します。
第2回目の今回のタイトルは「過越」です。この言葉の由来は、エジプトで奴隷にされていたユダヤ人を救出するために、神さまが大きな災いをエジプト中にもたらしますが、その災いがユダヤ人だけを「過ぎ越す」ようにされたことにあります。
そして「過越」を祝う祭りは、現代でもユダヤ人の間で大切にされ、毎年祝われています。
この「過越」には、どのような意味が込められているのか、ご一緒に学んでみませんか?

February's "Let's Read the Bible with a cup of coffee" focuses on the life of Moses, the famous protagonist of the animated film "The Prince of Egypt".
The title of this second session is "Passover". The word originates from the fact that God brought a great plague throughout Egypt to rescue the Jews from slavery there, but only the Jews were allowed to "pass over" the plague.
The festival of "Passover" is still cherished by Jews today and is celebrated every year.
