1月の「コーヒーを飲みながら聖書を読もう」のテーマは、「創世記を読む」です。
66の異なる書物が集まり一つの書となっている聖書。その最初の書物が「創世記」です。
この1月は、創世記に登場する4人の重要人物の人生に注目して読んでいきます。神がいかに、それぞれの人生に深く関わられたのかが分かる筈です。
第1回目の今回は「最初の一歩」と題して、イスラエル民族の祖であるアブラハムの人生に注目します。
何者でも無かった一人の人物を神が選び、どのようにして一つの国の祖としたのかを読みます。欧米社会においても、しばしば男性の名前に用いられるアブラハムの生涯をご一緒に学んでみませんか?

The theme for January's "Read the Bible with a cup of coffee" is "Reading the book of Genesis".
The Bible is a collection of 66 different books that make up one book. The first of these books is Genesis.
This January, the reading will focus on the lives of four important characters in Genesis. You will see how God was deeply involved in each of their lives.
In this first installment, entitled "The First Step", we will focus on the life of Abraham, the founder of the nation of Israel.
We will read how God chose a man who was a nobody and how he became the founder of a nation. Join us to study the life of Abraham, whose name is often used for a man in Western society.
