12月はクリスマスシーズンですね。ベルギーに限らず、ヨーロッパ各地でクリスマスマーケットが開かれます。最も夜が長く、暗さが増すこの時期に開かれるクリスマスマーケットには、希望の光を感じます。まるで、世の光としてお生まれになったイエス・キリストを象徴しているかのようです。
「コーヒーを飲みながら聖書を読もう」でも、12月は聖書に記されている世界で最初のクリスマスの出来事を4回に分けて読んでいきます。第一回目「天使のお告げ」は、天使がマリアさんに現れて、救い主(イエスさま)の誕生を告げる場面です。ご一緒にクリスマスのメッセージを聞きませんか?

December is the Christmas season. Christmas markets are held not only in Belgium, but all over Europe. During this time of year, when the nights are the longest and darkest, the Christmas markets are a beacon of hope. It is as if they symbolise Jesus Christ, who was born to be the light of the world.
In December, we will be reading about the events of the world's first Christmas as recorded in the Bible in four parts. In the first installment, "The angel's message", an angel appears to Mary and announces the birth of the Saviour (Jesus). Would you like to hear the Christmas message with us?
